Stills from my senior thesis film Numb. Shot entirely underwater, Numb is an experimental piece inspired by the feelings of suffocation that come with night terrors and sleep paralysis.

Behind the Scenes

Numb was shot in a practice pool in which we used duvetyne and other fabrics to create our underwater world. I used a Sony a7sII housed by a Nauticam underwater case. Although mostly shot handheld, we also built a dolly rig in order to get more steady forward movements.
